Who doesn’t love Superhero films? Superhero films form an integral part of our day to day life since childhood. Let’s take a quick look at all the superhero films releasing next year.

Notice that we are not ranking the films. They are just numbered randomly.

#09 Alita: Battle Angel


Battle Angel Alita, known in Japan as Gunnm, is a manga series created by Yukito Kishiro in 1990 and originally published in Shueisha’s Business Jump magazine. An action-packed story of one young woman’s journey to discover the truth of who she is and her fight to change the world. One more reason to get excited is that one of the writers is James Cameron. The trailer looks promising. Let’s see whether the movie lives up to it.

#08 Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse


Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is an upcoming American computer-animated superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales / Spider-Man. It has been revealed that multiple Spider-Men would appear in the film. Lord and Miller also revealed that a middle-aged Peter Parker / Spider-Man would appear in the film, as a mentor to Morales. The whole idea of the film is to make us feel like we walked into a comic book.

#07 Incredibles 2


A direct sequel to the 2004 film The Incredibles, Incredibles 2 is an animated superhero movie. The Parr family struggles to maintain normal lives while Helen Parr, also known as Elastigirl is out fighting crime. Meanwhile, Helen’s husband Bob Parr, also known as Mr. Incredible, remains at home watching their children Violet, Dash and discovering Jack-Jack’s secret powers. However, they, along with Frozone will have to battle a new villain, The Underminer with a sinister plot.

#06 Solo: A Star Wars Story

Not a trailer. Just a video where the director of the film Ron Howard reveals the name of the movie.


Solo: A Star Wars Story, or simply Solo, is an upcoming American space Western film centred on Han Solo, a character from the Star Wars franchise. the film is centred on a young Han Solo, the roguish smuggler who later meets Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker in the Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars(1977), and his adventures with his Wookiee partner Chewbacca, including their encounter with Lando Calrissian.

#05 Ant-Man and the Wasp

Marvel’s Ant Man did pretty good in the market. Scott a con artist who became Ant Man not only won us over but also gave us a nice superhero film. 2018 marks the release of the sequel of the 2015 Ant Man movie. Set after the events of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang tries to balance his home life as a father with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, when Hope van Dyne and Hank Pym present him with a new mission to rescue Pym’s wife from the quantum realm, requiring him to team up with van Dyne as the new Wasp.

#04 The New Mutants


The New Mutants is an upcoming American superhero horror film, based on the Marvel Comics team of the same name. Five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, fight to escape their past sins and save themselves. The film stars big young guns in the industry like Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) & Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers) of Game of Thrones and Stranger Things respectively. Maisie is playing the role of Rahne Sinclair / Wolfsbane, a Scottish mutant struggling to reconcile her religious beliefs with her power to turn into a wolf. Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie / Cannonball, a Kentuckian mutant who can propel himself into the air and is invulnerable while doing so.

#03 Aquaman

This one hasn’t got a trailer either. Gotta remain satisfied with the previous pictures of Aquaman from the Justice League movie released earlier this year.

Aquaman is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is intended to be the sixth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), and the third live-action theatrical film featuring the titular character, following Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017).

Jason Momoa looks all set to rock as Arthur Curry a.k.a Aquaman, the king of Atlantis in the new 2018 release Aquaman. Following the events of Justice League, Arthur Curry / Aquaman, the reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, is caught between land dwellers that are always polluting the globe and his own people who are ready to invade the surface. He must balance both the nations and deal with new enemies from within the kingdom while learning more about his heritage.

#02 Deadpool 2


Deadpool: The Second Coming is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Deadpool, distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is intended to be the twelfth installment in the X-Men film series, and a sequel to the 2016 film Deadpool. Plans for a sequel to Deadpool began before that film’s release, and were confirmed in February 2016. Wisecracking mercenary Deadpool battles ninjas, the yakuza and a pack of aggressive canines as he embarks on a new adventure.

#01 Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers. Four years after the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the Avengers have been torn apart following the events of Captain America: Civil War. When Thanos arrives on Earth to collect the Infinity Stones for a gauntlet that will allow him to bend reality to his will, the Avengers must join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to stop him. Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.
